A seasoned cyclist or a weekend warrior, the River to River Heritage Bicycle Tour offers a great day of cycling that takes you from the Delaware to the Schuylkill River through two of Pennsylvania’s most historic counties – Bucks and Montgomery.

Trek lightly traveled roads adjacent to the scenic Route 113 corridor, through small, quaint towns with farms, churches and businesses dating back to the 1700s. Designed like a figure 8, the River to River Bicycle Tour route begins and ends at the Penn Valley Church in Telford, Montgomery County, Pa. Rest stops at historic sites will provide refreshment. Lunch will be served.

Choose 25, 50, 75 or 100 mile routes through varied terrain. There will not be a mass start time for the ride, so plan your day according to the number of miles and average speed you will travel.

100-mile Loop: If planning to do the full 100-mile loop from river to river, be on the road between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. This will ensure ample time to eat lunch and finish by end of day.

Bucks County Loop: Ride a 25- or 50-mile route through Bucks County from Silverdale, through Bedminster to Tinicum. Start between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. as SAG will not be on these routes until then.

Montgomery County Loop: Cycle a 25- or 50-mile route through Montgomery County from Telford through historic Souderton to Upper Providence Township. Be on the road at 11 a.m., as SAG support (Support and Gear) will only be on these routes during the early part of the day.

Many of the historic sites along the heritage corridor, including Pennypacker Mills in Schwenksville.

Please note: There is not a mass start to the ride

Cyclists should plan their day accordingly to the number of miles and average speed at which they will be riding, allowing a return to Telford in time for the luncheon between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and keeping in mind the time of SAG support.

Here are some examples:

If you are planning to ride the full century, you will want to be on the road between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. in order to ensure ample time to eat lunch and to finish by the end of the day’s events.
Cyclists riding only the Bucks County 25 or 50 mile route will want to be on the road between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., as SAG support will be on these routes in the early part of the day.
Cyclists riding only the Montgomery County 25 or 50 mile route will want to be on the road no earlier than 11:00 a.m., as SAG will not be on these routes until then.
If you are planning to ride 75 miles (a combination of 25 miles on one route and 50 miles on the other, or vice versa) you should plan your day according to the Event Schedule, as appropriate
